Press & Background

Press Summary

MINDBEBOP is a modular system of ultralight cognitive reset tools designed to reduce unresolved mental buildup before it grows into heavier cognitive friction.

Rather than focusing on productivity, habit tracking, therapy, or self-optimization, MINDBEBOP focuses on the background layer where thoughts remain active: looping thoughts, unfinished tasks, overstimulation, emotional residue, restless attention, and role-based pressure.

The system introduces lightweight structural pathways that allow thoughts to be captured, redirected, scheduled, released, interrupted, cooled down, routed, or moved into a clearer next state with minimal cognitive effort.

Each app targets a different form of background mental activity while remaining intentionally lightweight, non-clinical, private, and non-performative.

The system now includes an entry and routing layer, a low-stimulation digital fidget layer, recipe-based mental movement, and an on-device event architecture: MindEntry helps users begin without needing to decide which tool to use first, MindBackyard gives restless attention a low-pressure place to move, and Cross-Dimensional Handshakes allow MINDBEBOP apps to pass meaningful events between tools without exposing private inner content.

MINDBEBOP describes this overall architecture as the Mental Background OS — a system designed around the idea that unresolved background cognition quietly consumes attention long before it becomes visible stress.

“MINDBEBOP is not therapy. It is infrastructure for background cognition.”

MINDBEBOP focuses on what most mental wellness and productivity tools ignore: the unresolved background activity running quietly behind attention.

About MINDBEBOP

MINDBEBOP introduces a modular architecture for the Mental Background layer — the cognitive level where unfinished thoughts, unresolved decisions, and active mental residue remain running behind attention.

Just as an operating system manages background processes on a device, MINDBEBOP introduces lightweight structural pathways so mental processes can be entered, routed, paused, completed, released, cooled down, or moved into another state.

MindEntry 3.0 expands this architecture through Cross-Dimensional Handshakes: structured, user-initiated events that allow MINDBEBOP apps to acknowledge one another and continue workflows across app boundaries.

It is intentionally non-clinical and non-therapeutic. The goal is not self-improvement, but reduction of unnecessary background activity and smoother mental state movement.

What MINDBEBOP Is — and Is Not

MINDBEBOP is:

MINDBEBOP is not:

Positioning

MINDBEBOP occupies a structural space that differs from both therapy and productivity applications. Most mind-related tools either guide behavior through journaling, mindfulness, coaching, or tracking, or capture attention through feeds, stimulation, gamification, and reward loops.

MINDBEBOP does neither. Its modules are designed to reduce background activity, create small mental transitions, and then disengage — without goals, feeds, tracking, scores, or habit pressure.

It defines a new category: tools designed specifically for the Mental Background layer.

Cross-Dimensional Handshake

Cross-Dimensional Handshake is the event architecture behind MINDBEBOP’s cross-app movement. It allows one MINDBEBOP tool to hand off a structured event to another tool when the user chooses to continue a thought, reminder, recipe, session, or action.

Examples include sending a thought from MindFlipOut to MindZoneOut, sending a reminder from MindShoutOut to MindFlipOut, sending a reflection from MindZoneOut to MindShoutOut, using Send to Recipe, launching Manual Backyard, or returning to MindEntry after completing a recipe step.

The principle is simple: thoughts stay inside the Mental Background layer unless the user deliberately moves them. Events can cross boundaries. The boundary is the handshake.

MindEvent API

MindEvent API extends the Cross-Dimensional Handshake concept into optional external integrations. It is designed to send structured event metadata when a meaningful MINDBEBOP action occurs.

For example, a completed recipe, finished transition, or selected action may produce an event that can be sent to a user-configured destination. MINDBEBOP does not automatically upload thoughts, reflections, conversations, or internal mental state.

The MindEvent API is not mind reading, surveillance, analytics, or behavior tracking. It is an optional bridge for structured events.

The Apps

MindEntry — The entry and routing layer of MINDBEBOP, designed to reduce tool-selection friction, run Recipes and CogniHacks, support Send to Recipe, and coordinate Cross-Dimensional Handshakes between tools.

MindBackyard — A digital fidget layer for restless attention, offering low-stakes doors, infinite corridors, tactile noise, and Manual Backyard as a contained space for aimless mental movement.

MindFlipOut — Addresses looping thought activity by allowing thoughts to receive a structured counter-response or move into another MINDBEBOP tool.

MindShoutOut — Addresses open-loop activity by scheduling unfinished items externally and allowing returned thoughts to continue into other tools.

MindZoneOut — Addresses stimulation load through intentional visual stillness, short reflection, and optional handoff into other tools.

MindBackOut — Addresses role-based pressure by temporarily altering contextual access using Apple’s Screen Time system.

MINDBEBOP was developed from lived observation rather than a clinical or academic framework. The focus is on designing simple, humane tools that reduce cognitive residue without turning inner life into performance metrics.

The system evolved from everyday practices — writing thoughts down, externalizing reminders, interrupting loops, and allowing mental threads to close. Over time, those small habits became a modular architecture for managing background cognition and supporting mental state movement.

Privacy & Data

MINDBEBOP apps operate primarily on the user’s device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell personal data.

Anything created in the apps stays on the device unless the user explicitly chooses to send structured event information through an optional integration.

Cross-Dimensional Handshakes between MINDBEBOP apps occur on-device. Optional external integrations, such as MindEvent API, are user-configured and event-based.
